A Final Thank You

We want to thank everyone who participated in the 2008 Eastern Great Lakes Regional Championships, whether as a competitor, parent, coach, official, vendor, friend or fan. We truly enjoyed being your host this year and we hoped that you enjoyed your time with us! If you have any suggestions for next year's host, Midland FSC in Midland, MI, please do not hesitate to write us and we'll pass those messages along. If you did not order a photo or video of your skater and still want to do so, please contact Straw Productions for more information. To view Qualifying EGLR results and event videos, visit US Figure Skating's affiliate, IceNetwork.com. To obtain Nonqualifying EGLR results, you can link to Don Korte's sk8stuff website.

2008 EGLR Senior LadiesWe also want to thank our terrific USFS Official Referee, Mary Chapman, who dealt with the many scheduling details before and during the Championships. And, we could not have done it without our truly amazing Local Organizing Committee members and the many wonderful volunteers, which included not only members and friends of Louisville Skating Academy but also members of other EGL clubs. You all helped make EGLR a success!

2008 EGLR Senior Ladies A special thanks goes to Jim McNabb, our terrific USFS announcer who helped keep everything running smoothly and on time for hours on end! And, thanks to Iceland's dedicated management team, Chris and Karen Richardson and their terrific staff. We also thank our web specialists: Don Korte, without whom we could not have scheduled practice ice with such ease and for posting results; and John Giovenco, our amazing webmaster who helped keep everyone in the loop through prompt and efficient service whenever we needed it!

And, finally, a big thank you to our many sponsors, most especially our local presenting sponsor, the Greater Louisville Sports Commission -- working together with LSA to make bigger and better figure skating events possible in Louisville...Possibility City!

Good luck to the EGLR competitors who qualified for Midwest Sectionals and the Junior National Championships! We wish you all the best!

Sincerely,

Becca Hatch Purnell and Kathie McDonald-McClure
Co-Chairs, 2008 EGLR Local Organizing Committee
